The RV Friendly program is a is an initiative of the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia and is a helpful way for RV owners and caravanners to identify small towns for a stopover.

Texas, which is RV Friendly accredited, welcomes the caravanning fraternity. There is a local caravan park with cabins, powered sites and amenities and a free camping area for fully self-contained vehicles beside the Dumaresq River. The town of Texas is located on an alternative inland route which takes travellers off busy major highways. A convenient dump point and access to water is available in Flemming Street in front of the council depot.
